Rompetrol

Rompetrol Downstream is the retail company in Romania of KMG International, a group owned by KazMunayGas, the national oil and gas company in Kazakhstan.

Nowadays a major player in the energy for life environment, Rompetrol has evolved from a Romanian company to an international group that produces and delivers petroleum products to 11 main markets.

The Rompetrol Group was renamed KMG International in 2014 as part of the strategy to integrate all activities within NC KazMunayGas JSC.

Rompetrol is the main brand of the KMG International, used for refining, petrochemicals and retail activities in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, and also for well services in the upstream area.

At the end of 2022, Rompetrol Downstream operated in a network of 1.257 fuel distribution points in Romania, which includes stations owned by Rompetrol, Partener Rompetrol, as well as mobile stations – Rompetrol Express and internal bases (9 and 20 cubic meter tanks)

The company operates at the national level 6 fuel depots, over 280 LPG stations, and over 7.000 LPG cylinders distribution points/Rompetrol for household use.
By expanding and diversifying the range of services and products offered, supported by the possibility of charging electric cars or mobile applications, Rompetrol stations have evolved in the last 15 years, becoming service centers and energy suppliers for customers.

There is one thing that has not changed over time, however: people remained the group’s greatest source of energy. It is their drive that helps us contribute to a better society, while inspiring millions of customers and partners by giving them the strength and ambition to move forward towards an upgraded, sustainable way of living.
